Aja
Hello world! My name is Aja Hill, and I want to start off this pink spotlight by saying I would like to kick the R out of the word recession; it's gotten way too much play lately! I manage the radical Betsey Johnson Outlet in San Marcos, Texas and in the six remarkable months I’ve been with the company I have learned there is nothing like a great sale to teach you that frugality can look absolutely fabulous. My store’s stylists love being revolutionaries when it comes to fashion and refuse to let a little rapacity put any clouds over this pink store. I feel great gratitude in having such a resolute staff and receiving so much support from my friends, family and can’t forget to mention my rambunctious bostie Miles who is always a ruckus. Oh! And if a member of The Smiths were ever to read this they should really come out of respite and have a reunion already! Never relegate sequins and remember pink is always in style. XOXO AJA |

Dana Verdi
A history of modern global icons: Dana Verdi & the Steel Toe Stilettos
Born in the savannahs and raised by wolves, Steel Toe Stilettos rose to the top of the modern global scene in the early eighties, with their debut album, I Gotta Petticoat For You. The band’s latest album, Tearing Down Gates, joins together Dana Verdi’s aboriginal chants with an expressive rhythm to construct vivacious jams with cross-over appeal. With standout tracks like “Keep it Swoony,” already certified platinum in Europe, Steel Toe Stilettos can count on loads of future success.
HAHA! Just Kidding! It’s me, Dana, and you can catch me west of the Hudson, at the Shops at Riverside in NJ.
Fun Fact: My chihuahua has three paws and is known to beat up coyotes in the Hollywood hills.
A big shout out to my killer team at 78 and my girls in Camarillo! BETSEY JOHNSON POR VIDA! xoxo

Michelle Garcia
Hello World…fancy meeting you here! Yes, it’s me, Michelle Garcia, Store Manager of the GLORIOUS Betsey Johnson, San Diego - home of Sea World, the Chargers & most importantly Ron Burgundy! Born and raised on the hard streets of “The OC” (Orange County, CA) two things I knew when I was a child were that I HATE milk and I wanted to make the world look pretty. A few years ago I decided to explore outside of the orange curtain and moved to Sin City …dragging the love of my life John along for the ride. Nestled in this desert oasis I was immediately drawn into this wonderful life of all that is Betsey Johnson. I was taught the way of the Pink Ladies by the most fabulous trio ever – Christina, Sadie & “The Seth”!!! I thought dreams really do come true when I was asked to move back to Cali to manage a store of my very own!! Buckets upon buckets of tears fell as I said goodbye to my Pink Family in Vegas and before I knew it I was adopted into this WONDERFUL group of gals here at Store #54 who constantly amaze me everyday! I love them to the moon and back! I’m a lover of animals, music, & dancing…. and am really sad season 2 of Rachel Zoe has ended (Ba-nanas!!). I try to live each day the best that I can, and will be living by this quote from our fearless leader for the next few months, “I triple my eating and drinking. Be tired and fat through January. Who the f**k cares? Just wear a lot of sweaters!” – Betsey Johnson

Molica
Bonjour tout le monde! I’m Molica (mo-lee-ka), manager of Betsey Johnson Jacksonville. I can’t believe that it’s been over 2 years since I joined the pink family. And I must say, not a day has gone by that has felt like work. There is no other place where you get to dress up, relive the 80’s, have it feel like it’s your birthday and make people beautiful... inside and out. Well, it happens everyday in my pink box, dubbed Club BJ. It's my home away from home, and I couldn't run it any better without the most amazing staff <3 mo

Sharon
Hi! My name's Sharon and I'm Queen Bee of the Toronto hive. My love affair with BJ began a long time ago in the magical land of Vancouver where I spent my girlish carefree days sorting out seashells and surfing up storms. In 2003, I switched seashells and storms for the symphonic city sounds of Toronto and I adore every minute of it. My mantra in life is, "in order to be irreplaceable one must always be different", and this has been key in turning many fashion faux pas into oh la las! I'm a firm believer that when people are thinking pink and want that extra quelque chose, BJ's got it! In short, I'd like to sum up my BJ experience with a haiku:
Hearts that glitter pink.
Frilly fringes that create form.
The boys eyes all turn. |
